Yukon Street Rectifier Building

This electrical building houses transformers and switch gear to convert alternating to direct current to power the bus trolley fleet. All mechanical fans and equipment are located inside the building to minimize noise impact on the surrounding neighbourhood. The building is located on a site adjacent to a bus depot and the Marine Drive Canada Line station. Materials, finishes and patterns all relate to the Marine Drive station. Two walls on the second floor were glazed so that transit passengers can see the equipment inside.
