Bill Gies Recreation Centre and Jones Family Health and Wellness Place

The small, rural township of Wellesley in Ontario has received a new, multi-purpose recreation centre. The long-awaited project is designed to strengthen the bond of community members by offering new services and amenities including a youth and seniors' centre, a multi-purpose gymnasium supported by a commercial kitchen, a community hall overlooking the rink, an NHL sized hockey rink with seating for 400 spectators and a walking track, accessible change rooms, fitness centre, meeting rooms, an outdoor playground and skatepark, soccer fields, outdoor sports courts and walking trails. The Jones Family Health and Wellness Place focused on family and community health has been integrated into the overall complex.
