Alumni Canada Games Place was the venue for track and field competitions and closing ceremonies for the 2009 Canada Games. The design included three buildings for this 14 acre facility: an announcer’s building, VIP building with accessible public washrooms, and an equipment storage building.
The project also included a new clubhouse facility at the adjacent soccer complex, which provides team locker rooms, officials areas, public washrooms, and a concession stand.
Home to the track and field events of the 2009 games, it also features a synthetic, 400-meter, eight-lane oval track; a water jump for steeplechase; a facility for long and triple jump, pole vault, discus and hammer throw, javelin throw and shot put.
