St. Andrew's Fire Hall

The Fire Hall building for the Township of South Stormont in St. Andrew’s West, includes a 4,000 ft², 5-bay garage with adequate room for firefighting equipment and training. The facility also includes: 3,000 ft² office area with emergency dispatch, kitchen/public meeting room, and disabled accessibility. As the building was designed for post-disaster service, the building is equipped with a standby pad-mounted 100 KW emergency generator. A number of sustainability endeavours were included. The building was designed with energy-efficient HVAC systems. Heat recovery ventilators were designed to recover heat from air exhausted from the space to preheat incoming fresh air for ventilation of the garage areas.
