Prescott Fire Rescue

Prescott, Ontario

Architecture49 has successfully designed a new Fire Hall building for the Township of Prescott's Volunteer Fire Department. The hall features six vehicle/apparatus bays, emergency dispatch offices, equipment storage, staff offices, a kitchen, decontamination rooms, and training/community meeting rooms. Situated on a compact site adjacent to the existing fire hall, the structure has been meticulously planned to meet post-disaster requirements.

The building is divided into two distinct sections. The vehicle bays, which also double as spaces for physical and firefighting training exercises and the support spaces. To ensure optimal functionality, the design incorporates backup emergency power generation and high-efficiency HVAC systems.
