The Inn at the Forks is beautifully situated at the confluence of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers, a historic meeting place for Winnipeg. The significance of the location made this project particularly sensitive and iconic, and demanded a commensurate level of detailed design attention.
“The public enthusiasm for the Inn at The Forks was such a pleasure to see. We worked hard to make sure that we would do this beautiful and important location justice with our design, and bring the local community on board before ever breaking ground. The hotel opened its doors with a level of support that was beyond all our expectations.” Gord Ferguson, Project Architect
This 116-room boutique inn includes a 100-seat dining room, a 100-seat lounge, a 75-seat outdoor terrace and 3 board rooms. The hotel’s clean, modern design incorporates systems, orientation and massing sustainability, as well as a selection of natural, local materials such as stone cladding inspired by 19th-century warehouses at The Forks.
