Halifax Stanfield International Airport is a world-class airport, creating prosperity for the region by connecting Atlantic Canada to the world through flight. A49 completed a redevelopment in the Air Terminal Building for Passenger Processing.
The key components of the project include expansion of the existing Pre-Board Screening and provision for the CATSA Plus program, consolidation and relocation of the terminal holdroom concessions to the center of the ATB and design of the new holdroom area required for the relocated high volume, high frequency domestic flights gates. In addition, project scope included retrofit of the passenger concourse going through the consolidated and expanded concessions space, modification and expansion of the existing third floor Observation Deck and the Maple Leaf Lounge and retrofit of adjacent spaces in the domestic holdroom required to integrate the expanded building footprint.
