The Golf Exécutif Montréal’s new clubhouse is located on Nuns’ Island, a green oasis in the St. Lawrence River facing downtown Montreal. The building, characterized by geometric rigour and harmonious site integration, boasts an impressive wooden framework designed to offer its users an exceptional experience. Its huge 1 800 sq m cross-laminated wooden roof, floating above the outdoor practice area it shelters, elegantly follows the curve of the golf practice field. Its large windows promote continuity between interior and exterior spaces, thus creating an idyllic place of practice, socialization and contemplation for golfers. The interior spaces are also defined by the presence of wood, thanks to the apparent glued-laminated wood structure, and maple or burned wood used as wall cladding and in furniture. In close collaboration with the client, the clubhouse program has been developed to ensure great flexibility of use according to the seasons and the different types of events that can take place there. Among its features : changing rooms with showers, a complete restaurant kitchen, a bar, a proshop, high-tech golf simulators, offices and technical rooms.
