Embrun Fire Station

Embrun, Ontario

The Township of Russell, specifically the Village of Embrun, commissioned the construction of a Fire station building for their Volunteer Fire Department. The facility encompasses a spacious, 3-bay drive-through garage, providing ample room for firefighting equipment and training activities. In addition, the building incorporates an office area that includes emergency dispatch services, a kitchen, a public meeting room, and provisions for disabled accessibility.

Noteworthy features of the Fire station include an emergency power system and an energy-efficient HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system. The project was executed through a design-build procurement approach, with the municipality directly contracting the architectural services. The utilization of Revit design software significantly enhanced the project delivery process, facilitating a deeper understanding of complex details and ensuring efficient collaboration among all stakeholders involved.
