The Central Long Term Care (CLTC) project consists of two 60-bed Long Term Care Facilities, divided into four self-contained 15 resident houses. The design allows for excellent daylighting and access to views for both staff and residents by providing generous glazing in both the resident bedrooms, common areas, and the ends of corridors. This supports the goals of a home-like, safe, healthy, familiar environment, and provides a positive working environment for staff.
The whole home will have a friendly, warm, and welcoming atmosphere that begins at the main entrance, with its connection to the multipurpose room, reception area, secure outdoor space, and ‘main street’, which is a hub of the community life of the home.
