Architecture49 would like to congratulate Grant Van Iderstine as he celebrates his 35th anniversary with our company today!
As a Principal with A49 in Halifax, Ron is a champion of architecture in its broadest, most wonderful sense. He lives not just for the details, but also for the big ideas and thoughtful concepts. Ron specializes in cultural and interpretive projects – not surprising given that he is a confessed gallery and museum junkie and a former museum interpreter and registrar's assistant.
In support of the growth and opportunity we are experiencing in Northern Ontario, I am excited to announce a new leadership structure.
The new Art Gallery of Nova Scotia (AGNS) will be a place where all Nova Scotians can come to see their stories told and to learn about the long, rich and multi-faceted culture that makes this place unique.

A49 is excited to announce the appointment of Ban Kubba to National Sector Lead, Transportation. Ban joined our Vancouver office in 2018 and has helped to build the practice regionally. Ban has worked on the TransLink Marpole Transit Centre, six BC Transit Bus operations and maintenance facilities, and three sky train lines.
Sarah joined Architecture49 Halifax as the Practice Lead for Healthcare in May 2019. Her unique background as a Registered Nurse and an Architect makes her well-suited for her new role.
