Lissa Arsenault Celebrates 30 Years of Service

Congratulations on 30 years of service, Lissa Arsenault!

Lissa began her career at A49 working in the Halifax Infirmary site trailer as a member of our administration team. She quickly developed her administrative skills showing strength in computer technology and specification writing. One of Lissa’s most valuable skills is the ability to understand the language of architects and interpret their “writing”. She can translate their nattering’s and help convey their thoughts to paper. Lissa is the go-to for any computer help in the office, often resulting in her desk resembling a doctors’ office with a line up of people waiting to be seen.

Specification Writing is extremely dedicated and something Lissa enjoys. For the majority of her career, she has been using both prescriptive and performance specifications for our work with Sobeys as well as projects in healthcare and education. She had a hand in developing numerous versions of our office manual and the master spec for A49 Atlantic. She also serves as the Atlantic Representative on the A49 national practice committee for specifications. Lissa is recognized by Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) for completing the requirement and testing of the certified specifications practitioner (CSP) CSC certifications. She scored very high in all aspects of the course and proudly displays the letters 'CSP' by her name, a great achievement.

“Lissa is the glue that binds and the firm has flourished with the help of staff members like [her] … and I am pleased to say she is a good friend of mine. Always quick to laugh, share a joke, show everyone the recent buys at a Winners Store or a shopping excursion to Maine. As shopping to her is as important as specification writing.” Brian Colgan, Senior Project Manager, A49 Halifax.

If you can’t find Lissa at work or home, check the nearest Winners store. Lissa enjoys shopping and spending time with her family on the Acadian shores of Nova Scotia. She’ll never turn down a serving of rappie pie or the opportunity to visit Mavillette Beach Provincial Park.

Congratulations Lissa, here’s to another 30!
