The Healthcare Centre of Excellence is a 300,000-square-foot, 12-storey healthcare facility that anchors the redevelopment of Portage Place in downtown Winnipeg. Located on the east side of the former shopping centre, the project is a key component of a new mixed-use campus that brings together healthcare, housing, neighbourhood services, and public spaces.
The facility supports a broader vision to reimagine Portage Place as a more open, accessible, and community-focused destination. Through the adaptive reuse of portions of the existing structure, the project balances sustainability with renewal while creating contemporary spaces designed to meet evolving healthcare needs.
