Culture

Our Cultural practice is experienced in the planning, design and delivery of sophisticated cultural spaces for literature, music, art, history, and worship. Whether culture is understood broadly, as a shared experience, or considered in terms of the disciplines of music, theatre, and museums, we are inspired by the way that architecture can engage with cultural spaces.

Cultural spaces are particularly varied in complexity, and can range from small, black box theatres to performances spaces whose acoustics must support everything from a soloist to a full symphony; the structures can range from small, wood-frame churches to large, soaring museums with complex form, shape, and materials. Our team is experienced in these building types, engaged in the delivery of cultural spaces, and inspired by the impact these facilities have on people’s lives.
