Cornwall Hospital Mental Health & Addictions Centre, Cornwall, Ontario
This project brings together existing CCH outpatient mental services, Withdrawal Management services and Addiction Services of Eastern Ontario under a “co-location” model by constructing a new building on CCH’s McConnell site. The former Hotel Dieu convent building on the site was demolished in order to accommodate the new CCH building and parking requirements.
The co-location in this new building combines services that were previously offered at three different sites in Cornwall and will reduce wait times while providing patients in Eastern Ontario – Child and Youth Mental Health Services, Community Withdrawal Management Services, Assertive Community Treatment: (ACT), Adult Counselling Treatment, Mental Health, Crisis Team/Peer Support, Geriatric Mental Health Services, Addiction Services.
The new single storey, 24,000 sq ft building located at the north end of the Cornwall Hospital property was ready for occupancy in fall 2016 and moves scheduled during the month of October.
