Assiniboine Park’s Diversity Gardens gains government support

All three levels of government are set to support the $75M Diversity Gardens at Assiniboine Park, Winnipeg.

Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, announced that the federal government will provide up to $35 million in funding to build Canada’s Diversity Gardens. The Gardens will showcase Canada’s biodiversity and multicultural heritage using living plants.

The City of Winnipeg has already confirmed a $10-million contribution to the project. In addition, the state of Manitoba is expected to contribute $15 million. Private donations will make up the additional funding.
